Health & Safety Considerations

The health and safety of our employee’s and your staff are paramount to our
company. The installing of DNC systems unfortunately sometimes requires
working at heights. All our DNC Engineers are aware of the dangers when
working at heights and have received training on what equipment can be used.

If we carry out a site survey for installing DNC at your site the report will contain
information on what equipment will be required for working at heights. This
equipment could be mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) and all our
Engineers are certified in using this type of equipment.

Prior to installing your DNC system our Engineer will do a survey of the work area
and may draw potential hazards to your attention. Possible hazards are oil spillage
on the shop floor, overhead cranes etc. We request that you work with us on these
health hazards as it could endanger lives. As an example our Engineer may have to
work from an articulated boom at a height above your overhead crane. This is a
potential hazard as your crane operator may not be aware of the situation and move
the crane and collide with the articulated boom causing a nasty accident. To avoid
this hazard our Engineer will request that the overhead crane be moved to a safe
docking position and its power source to be isolated.

Personal Safety Equipment

All our engineers are supplied with personal safety equipment which must be used at all times whilst working in your premises.

RoHS Compliance

All equipment supplied by us is compliant to the RoHS Directive which stands for "the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment". This Directive bans the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants.
